Our aim is to have your Marlborough stay feature as a highlight of your New Zealand experience. To that end we are delighted to help you in any way we can to ensure you experience as many of the local attractions as possible during your time spent with us. Let us make the arrangements on your behalf once you have decided on what interests you most whilst here.

Stonehaven is the perfect Top of the South base. Settle in, unpack, get ready to wind down, and begin enjoying a range of experiences.

Marlborough has something for everyone: Along with the amazing scenery, wine and the usually spectacular weather in Blenheim, there is bird watching, arts and crafts, great local and regional food, history & both Aviation and Classic Car museums, walking & cycling trails, photography, kayaking and dolphin swimming, cruising the sounds– something for everyone.

Nelson is 1 hour 15 minutes scenic drive away and offers regional wines, arts and crafts including the World of Wearable Arts Museum with Classic Cars as an extra attraction, Lord of the Rings locations along the way. Taking the magnificent round trip via the Nelson Lakes National Park is recommended.

If preferred 1 hour’s drive to the lakes at St Arnaud for a day trip offers bush and lake side walks, scenic beauty at Lake Rotoiti and further on to Lake Rotoroa or mountain driving towards the Rainbow Ski field (open in the winter) makes for a spectacular day.

Picton is 30 minutes drive away where you can experience the Marlborough Sounds. Take a walk on the Queen Charlotte Track, after taking a water taxi to the start of the track, and be picked up at the end of your day and returned to Picton. An hour’s drive from Picton to Havelock along the Queen Charlotte Drive offers spectacular views.

Havelock is a 30 minute drive from Stonehaven where you can take a cruise to the mussel farms, or explore the Kenepuru and Pelorus Sounds.

It would be our pleasure to book tickets or make reservations for you to ensure a place if you would like to experience a guided wine tour or cycle the wine trail, take a cruise on the sounds or swim with the dolphins during your stay with us. Just let us know.
